Installation

Last Pallet sells the material. Installation is handled through Fancy Floors, the showroom this warehouse belongs to, which has been installing floors in the South Bay for years.

Getting an installer

Call (310) 464-8694 and ask about installation. If you are pricing a whole job, ask for Arian Samai on the contractor line at (310) 200-6152 - he handles volume and can price material and labour together.

If you are installing it yourself

Most of what we carry is designed to be installed without specialist tools. Every product page lists the manufacturer's install method - floating, glue down, or click lock - along with the plank size, wear layer and thickness, taken straight from the manufacturer's own spec sheet.

Two things worth knowing before you start:

• Order over. Ten percent above your measured square footage is the usual allowance for cuts and waste. On a room with lots of angles, more.
• Order it all at once. This is clearance stock. When a lot is gone there is no second run of it anywhere, so running short mid-install means a visible seam in a different colour.

Acclimation and subfloor

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the specific product you bought - they are on the product page and in the carton. Acclimation time, subfloor flatness and moisture tolerances vary by product, and the warranty depends on following them.
